hope you enjoy your new ride.

lest us know what the dealership that you traded your VR4 in and maybe one of the other guys on NZ will pop down and snap up a well maintained VR4.

someone will buy it from the dealer or from an auction place that the dealer uses and they will get a bargin of a well maintained VR4 that might be long in the tooth but still out performs any family car from the year of your cars production.

keep in touch with club and let us know how you get on with the Bavarian Motor Work representative, i hope you love it as much as the VR4.

    Bye for Now!

I think I will. The VR-4 is a hard act to follow, hence why it was a hard decision and has taken me over 18 months to make.

Surprisingly, I have decided to leave Mitsubishi after 4 Galants in the last 28 years. However, I have always desired a 3-series since they first came out in the 1970s and thought I could never afford one.

This BMW 330i has 190kw - http://www.automobile-catalog.com/ca...teptronic.html - which is about the same as mine, only a bit down on torque. - http://www.automobile-catalog.com/ma..._vr4/1996.html. I am glad I decided on the 330i instead of the 323i.
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here

Traded it in with BuyRightCars ... very likely to go to the Turners Auction as the dealer is owned by them.

From time to time I still miss the VR-4. While the BMW 330i is great, it is not as sure footed as the 4WD VR-4. It was definitely a hard act to follow.

I still miss mine. My third VR4 was a cracking car for the money. I’ve had a few different cars since then and the only one I miss more is the Lexus ISF.

I must say they are not nearly as reliable as the Japanese cars and therefore expensive and annoying to spend time and money on fixing. Keep that VR4 rolling, throw a bit of money into it to keep it in proper shape, and you will surly satisfied with it...

I'll have to admit, I find your BMW choice fugly as ****e, but then again I'm not a fan of that BMW generation and the ones after... like I really dislike them visually.

It's a serious downgrade in style from the VR4 from my perspective, but I can see that after 20+ years of driving galants, maybe one needs fresh blood/oil.
I mean I might not like the looks of it, but the BMW you chose is a decent car all in all. Can't argue that.

I'll stick to my VR4 till it dies or I do, though. But that's me, and the VR4 is my absolute dreamcar. Maybe I'll think differently after 10 more years of driving it. One never knows what the future holds.
