Just a little something I’ve been working on but not completed as yet. I’m not satisfied with the present look. Two aem gauges afr and boost gauge.

Those gauges look smart and subtle, like them!

Thanks Andy. I was going after that look, but they are still noticeable. When I complete it I’ll post some more pics of it.

Bobby~d..... just looking at your posts really like how your doing things my Vr4 friend. The AFR Gauge is one of my next jobs before some safe tuning. I damaged a previous engine years ago by being a little foolish with a boost gauge so BIG lesson learnt there.
I have exactly the same colour vr4 but the wagon/estate and it is also a manual which i prefere.
I also have fitted Brembo brakes front and rear but did have a couple of problems in the installation of them.
Fronts needed a adaptor plate making as the bolt holes were nowhere near for bolting up and rears were easy in comparison as i only needed to remove part of the steel backing plates to make clearance for the larger discs set up everything else just bolted up same.

Hi Dave. Sorry to hear about the blown engine. I recently had my mechanic change timing belt, idler pully, tensioner pully, water pump, cam and crank shaft seals on mines. I’m doing my upgrades in phases and kinda reach half way there. First I sorted all the existing problems on the car, second I upgraded the brakes to the brembos with project mu pads. Thirdly I installed a stage 2 completion clutch. Then I took a looong break hahahahahaha. When I started back I installed both afr and boost gauges in the car with the guidance of my tuner, cause I wanted to start tuning it a little. That has worked out so far. After road tuning the car it feels completely different to how it was before, I won’t say it has more speed but I will say that the power/torque has definitely increased a fair bit. I’ve just bought a greddy profec ebc to be installed. Then early next year we are going to do over the original exhaust to 3” stainless steel, just ordering the parts for the exhaust build right now.

I really don’t want any headache later on. Which is why I’m doing things in a phased basis. It’s tempting to raise the boost, but from reading on here I know is better/safer to monitor afr readings which is why I installed the gauges and sensors first . The ebc and exhaust will be done the same time hopefully. But I sooooo want to install the ebc nowww and raise it a little. Just to see how the car will react/feel.. But as I’ve learned in the past it is to better be safe than sorry hahahahahaha.
