Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the stock ECU to civic ep3 coil packs? Done on Microsoft paint, scrap of paper, picture with labels maybe?

So in the end what coil packs did everyone decide on? Ep3 or the denso yaris ones. Hunted for the answer on the aus site etc. Going to do this once isolation comes I. So getting all the bits ready. So anyone any tips they'd be greatly appreciated. I'm on lpg aswel so I'm changing the plugs at the same time. Because at the minute the miss firing is getting serious now.
    Cheers

Hi I used civic coils Denso 099700-070 with 3 pin plug rear is awkward as there is nothing to bolt them to so for time being i used combination of cable ties to make sure they not pop out front line up with original coil holes just need longer bolts as they longer than old ones. When you get plugs from scrap yard take as much wiring with them as possible as there is a quite long needed to solder in to loom.
Car feels a lot more responsive and start much quicker not to mention 0 misfires on high load.
Just working on some mounting bracket for rear work in process but this is what I think of doing

    long time no speak mate.
glad to see you are using the coil packs.
do you still need the wiring connections for the coil packs? i drew it all out when i was investigating this some years ago. i still have it somewhere.
i can dig it out if you need it..

Honda K series coilpacks works great, I use them on all my COP kits. Made over 500whp with them on my vr4 with no issue IMG_20200202_185753.jpg

Its very easy, one gnd one power and one signal, cant remember colours but only signal ones are varies, pwr is IIRC thickish black with white strip, the same on all 3, gnd black, make sure you connect right ones at the back, do not take original leads out until you connect all wiring, as one signal need to be split in 2 new coils correct, I propobly will be doing another conv on my white vr4 if weather and kids permit.
look through this post and its all become clear

what you do have to consider is the coil packs bottom out on the plug. so the bottom of the coil pack does not sit on the top of the rocker cover they will sit proud of the rocker cover. but i can't remember if itis the front or the back that sits up the most. it is to do with the profile of the rocker cover.
if you want them to sit flush with the top of the rocker cover you have to cut the legth of the coil pack tube down and if you do that then you loose the rubberised bit at the end of the tube which is the bit that seals round the plug ceramic.
the 4 wire toyota coil packs from a yaris dont fit down the hole in the rocker cover without modification, e.g. shaving some of the plastic off the outside diameter of the coil pack tube. it is not a lot but it has to be done to every coil pack.
the toyota coil pack tube is shorter than the honda ep3 coilpack so it sits lower against the rocker cover so it is a trade off which way you want to go.

With type R coils I used they stick out from front bank, it not bother me much as no one will pour buckets of water on them and its still under engine cover which fits spot on, BTW did feel odd on my other conversion done yesterday in my auto VR4, is seems like it loose a bit of torque?? feels completely different like revving up quicker without hesitation and missing but feel less torque, not sure what is that and if that's just a feeling. Have lots of reading about last night, and need to learn more regards coil dwell.

Possibly retarded the timing slightly with increased dwell times? Not going to bother me personally to be honest, a slightly late spark is better than no spark for me at this stage. Ignition timing adjustable on the stock ecu?

Yes its adjustable and its changed a lot in my black one but stock in white one, not sure if i would play with timing first, AFAIK we can play with dwell setup on coils

BTW get spark plugs change while you there as in my case both spark plugs running on dying coil was shot and need to be changed
