    Newbie from Sydney-AUS

    Hello everyone!

    I just purchased a Legnum on Sunday and been loving it. Looking forward to getting some help from you all figuring out this complex beast! It's a 2000 Original Manual Legnum. A Type S as from my research as the manual only came in the Type S.

    I took a risk purchasing this babe as there were no service history but the engine was running smooth and gut told me to get it! Bad idea but I'll live with it now During my test drive it really impressed me with the power and the delivery of it and the lack of rattles inspite of her age..

    It seems to have the following additions done on stock and stock apart from that which attracted me;

    1. Exhaust
    2. Coilovers (seems lik BC)
    3. Brake rotors; slotted and dimpled
    4. Some after market 17" rims wrapped in potenza RE003s 225/45

    Got some new CST Zero-1 hyper 18" 9JJ+30 that I want to put on soon once I increase the ride height.. Right now it's too low for my liking and got the rear with negative camber.

    Planning to get a full inspection done in the next week or so once I get some time. At this point I'm feeling the car has a power steering motor on the way out with a telltale whine that increases in noise when turning. It's not a belt noise as far as I know.

    Interior was nice and the paint seemed to have been done recently as the paint is a pearl white. Not sure if it originally came as that back then.

    Looking at MEEK Automotive in Sevenhills for the inspection. But if any of you out there in Sydney can help me with an alternate place for a good inspection then I would really appreciate it.

    I can't ever remember the exact rules for type S. But if it has AYC it is definitely a type S.

    Your wooden bits are not a match for the cloth seats, but still standard parts. I guess someone at some point swapped some stuff. It must be after May 2000 as you have a second facelift judging by the cloth.

    Exhaust is a very good place to start modifications - coilovers are a lot down to personal preference. Brakes could be EBC? Not a bad choice either, but there are better options if you want/need. Welcome to ownership and I hope you carry on enjoying it!

    Hi and welcome, Heshan. I wouldn't recommend Meek anymore. There are better workshops out there.
