    New Legnum VR4 Owner NZ

    Hey guys,

Not a stranger to Mitsi have owned alot of E39A VR4's and early CD9A/CE9A Lancers and worked on all of them.

Have recently aquired a 1997 Legnum VR4 and I must say they are very comfortable to drive.

Dont have any pics at this stage but its not in the best condition. Car has been sitting for a few years has a bit of paint fade but interior is immaculate and Engine still runs strong and smooth (But is throwing a CEL).

Im looking at reviving it and getting it lisenced again (It is currently deregistered), So have joined on here to get a bit more help on ironing all the problems out.

Have already taken in some valuble info so thought id better sign up and register.

Will update some pics as soon as i get some

    Cheers

    Richie

Hey, welcome to the forum. There's a handful of us meet up in Auckland from time to time, drive around or work on each others cars. Might be cool to catch up next time we get together

    Happy New Year guys! lol

Well a bit of an anti-climax! The car failed a pre check (managed to get someone to check it before i actually took it in) and it had some serious amounts of rust in the roof only a bit of bubbles in the skin but the framing was quite bad. Im guessing its probably from the sunroof drain holes being clogged and wondering if its the same as the early evo's with bad sealant used aswell?

On a positive note, i managed to sort the CEL (TCS solenoid) and have now sold it on (At a profit) to someone who is a panel beater and was quite adamant he could replace the roof.

So win/win situation all around and it has been replaced by an S14 Silvia Facelift

Will stick around and linger as im still on the look out for another one h3h3

Welcome man. Good to hear you got out of that rusty situation easily haha. There are always other VR-4s coming up for sale, I'm also selling my silver facelift legnum with a (non leaking) sunroof haha.
