Thanks @MarkSanne it will be back on road much sooner than expected as there's not much to do to bring it back to full glory.

Today we try to straight up bumper as it was slightly off after minor front prank.

    Have a look yourself

After taking bumper off was expecting to be lots of bending trying bending again and trying again, all whats was wrong was bumper bracket been caught under front crash bar and after prying with big screwdriver its pops out above crash bar and stay there like nothing ever happen, this car cant stop impressing me with easiness of all jobs on it so far.

Pictures are after it pop up as I didn't expect that's all what its need so didn't take any b4

    Cheers @pezza

today was engine bay day, it was full of cobwebs, dead spiders, leafs and who know what else, so b4 I do any jobs under hood it must be cleaner so here we go

    before

    20160930_133024 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_133030 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_133035 (Medium).jpg

    20160930_133044 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_133048 (Medium).jpg

    and after

    20160930_145126 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_145137 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_145148 (Medium).jpg
    20160930_145159 (Medium).jpg

slightly better now, still lots of cleaning to do but I will carry on when doing other bits like cambelt and box flush later, as you can see there is a bit of rust on driver side strut and on slam panel, but it seems like its just surface rust and, I think, is not too late to rub it down to bare metal rust proof and paint.

Its not as hard as it may looks like, remove battery, cover alternator and fuse box, wet it down a little, spray TFR everywhere, wait a bit for TFR to do its magic, brush down really mucky areas, wash it all down, dry off using compress air, put back battery, let engine run to heat up, then spray wd40 and wipe down, job done, should not take more than an hour. In your case Dave it may be a bit more time consuming due to miles of added wires there and there :-)

Thanks @Bobby~d ,for me Its a score of the century, funny thing is, I was just about to order 2 front tyres for Volvo for £260 when this pops up for sale, and as it turns out she's stunner for less than 2 bloody tyres.

Yes it is hard to believe it survive in such a great shape, Im not far off saying Is in better shape than my current one, especially underneath, what I figured out it was imported in 1 Nov 2010 and there's very odd bit as my other one was registered in 1 Nov 2010 TOO, isn't that very strange? I wont be surprised if they actually come over form japan on THE SAME BOAT

How unloved green duck become white swan

    lol Gary.
Let the rust worms dine out on the pearlescent white banquet.

Unfortunately it is almost rust free underneath as well although it will need rust protecting before winter sets in.
    MOT. First.

So glad that someone has managed to return it to its former glory. I knew it was a good car with lots NOT wrong with it but I didn't have the time or knowledge. The paint and interior have always been good. When not covered in crap
I'll try and dig out any paperwork I have for it. I remembered I forgot to send it with the car.
I'm very surprised it started so easy. Last time I started it it was down at least 1 or 2 cylinders. Lol

If I remember it was emissions, something on the suspension Worn out. Not sure what. And the handbrake wouldn't hold enough. Not sure if I have that paperwork for it though. I'll see what I can find.

It should have failed. I was at a mot station almost an hour and a half from home (long story). A lot of pleading and a promise to fix it got me a pass and home on that day. In reality I drove it till my new car arrived (an evo wagon) a month or so later and then I parked it. Technically it never failed, just should have. Or that particular mot place was much pickier than my normal one. Lol
