Howdy peepz!
You'll have to bare with me... I'm new to this self promotion stuff!
I have a website: www.ascoxvs.com
It's still very obviously under construction but it'll get there if I learn to take pics
I have a Facebook page: ASCOXVS
I don't much like Facebook, it's full annoyance but if it's your preferred method, feel free
and i have a phone number: 07738112856
I might not always be able to answer, feel free to text or whatsapp
The best way for anyone from the forum to contact me would be by pm, i'll know vaguely who you are and give you all priority... sooner play with a VR4 than a Peugeot
Experience wise, I've owned two, both autos, one i converter to a manual all by my lonesome... so i can do that, both got stripped bare and sold as parts so i pretty much know where everything comes from.
have also worked on plenty of others since, swapping gearboxes, engines, difs, interiors etc
i do have an Openport 2.0 cable and Evoscan and ecu flash (not confident enough to alter maps yet)
hope that's helpful?
Oh.. and i can drive to you, within reason or expenses covered
I'd trust Ash with my VR-4
Have questions about performance upgrades and ECU tuning? Before PM'ing me, Check this thread first

maybe you could give the community a location of where you are based and cost per mile for travel.
i also Know Ash is quite capable of doing any job required on a VR4. so you have no worries there. It is nice to know there is somebody is willing to travel and keep these cars on the car.
i have looked over a few cars that Ash has done some major work on and i have not found any issue with any of them, and i can be quite picky about things on other peoples cars which not so much on my own. I am not so critical of my own car, as long as it is safe, my car has a more of a modernistic rat rod look (i am not interested in looks i dont wash it).
most of us that do work work on VR4's hold down full time jobs as well, so we do the VR4 stuff in our spare time, there's only so much time for family, friends and VR4 stuff and the majority of us are at 150% capacity all the time, so something has to give and normally it is the VR4 stuff.
so it is nice to know that someone like Ash has jumped in with both feet and decided to do it full time.
good luck mate.
maybe you could post up a standard price list for jobs (as long as there are no surprises) to give people a rough estimate of what a job will cost to do.
i know it is difficult to do and this sort of thing comes with experience costing the job I mean, but a rough idea would be helpful for people that are less experienced in the complexities of the VR4.

Bye for Now!
Probably a good idea,
I'm based in Telford, so pretty central.
As per website, £30ph first 2 hours, £20ph after.
I will waiver the £30 for paid up members, so £20ph from the get go.
Cost per mile, I haven't given much thought too, but i think a £1, 1 way, will be about right to cover fuel and time.
i'm not sure on giving a standard price list, even the simpler things like servicing vary quite a bit depending on what people want doing and weather or not they are providing the fluids/parts.
feel free to fire off pm's, as with everything. things can be negotiated.
ash
OOh could be tempted, I'll have to work out how far Telford is from Yeovil.
1997 Mitsubishi RVR HSGR : 2.0 4G63T, 4 seats and the seating position from a truck
2009 Ford Mondeo : 2.2TDCi, 4 wheels, some plastics, some metal and some seats
Former owner of The Mongrel (RIP 2011) and The Rednum (RIP 2014)
Just to update this I can't thank Ash enough for his dedication over the last 2 days.
I brought my VR4 down to him all the way from Newcastle-upon-Tyne on Sunday night and he worked 20 hours over Monday and Tuesday to get it all ready to drive away!
Really went the extra mile to get it finished on time and would definatley recommend
He's alright really! No matter what they say!!
You don't get any better recommendation than personal ones from people that have had work done.
More than welcome fella! A gazebo or something, anything, to keep the rain of me is my next purchase! Still cold now. Lol
