Heading on over to Spalding in Lincolnshire tomorrow for my undersealing with this rustbuster company. Lets see how it all pans out. I've added a few extras since the original quote hope to get some good photos of before and after with the overall price. It is expensive yes but it'll be done in 2 days. If I did it, it would take a few months of weekends.

Be back on the 19th I've bunged in a trip into London while I'm over in the EAST!

Finally got the thickest of thickest seal on the undercarriage which only had a small spot of rust where I caught a speed bump.

Was a good job - unblocked a drain and out poured 2 litres of water.

Now - to trap where the smell of the underseal is leaking into the cabin - really fresh when opening the drivers door after 10 minutes Good for getting high on during the journey I suppose.

Thanks for comments and advice on underseal etc - the photos were taken before the thin layer of waxoyl was applied - so all good - guy commented on how refreshing it was to underseal a clean car for a change

On the timing belt, water pump, tensioner et al - ouch that set back a few quid - still good to roll for many more happy miles.

It is a shame that someone appeared to have used non standard wheels during its life at some point - there are tell tale rub marks on the front left wheel arch (outer side)

Next stop : tyres - and a darn good wax of the body work - looking dirty and tired.

Next update 6 months time - after probably two more oil and filter changes

The most obvious places for underseal smell entry would be the bulkhead, the loom entry points on the inner wing, the lambda sensor grommet and the petrol pump/tank plate under the rear seat.
