Right guys, I know the show season has only just come to an end but the majority of the dates of next years events have now been confirmed and announced. This year some of you said that not enough notice was given to attend certain events due to work/family commitments. To that end lets give CVR4 a decent turnout in 2017! You have no excuse not to get these dates booked off with work or the missus, my job is not well known for its flexibility but even I have managed to book off the dates for this event!!
The event in question is none other than Simply Japanese takng place at Beaulieu Motor Museum, New Forest.

This event will take place on 30th July 2017 and there are many reasons to attend:
All Japanese car and motorcycle owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu and park up within the museum complex for what promises to be a superb day out for both Japanese vehicle owners and enthusiasts. All models are welcome at the sixth Simply Japanese event, which is set to provide a great opportunity to admire other’s cars and to connect with fellow enthusiasts. Old or new, heavily modified or straight from the showroom floor, you can expect to see Nissans, Hondas and VR-4's amongst the many marques on display. All participants have the opportunity to be chosen as the winner of the People’s Choice Award, selected by public vote. The winner will receive the Beaulieu Simply Japanese trophy.
As well as being an opportunity to see hundreds of Japanese cars and motorcycles, there is also the opportunity to enjoy all that Beaulieu has to offer... Your entry will include admission to all the Beaulieu attractions including; The National Motor Museum, World of Top Gear, Palace House, Beaulieu Abbey and more.
See the below official Simply Japanese 2016 video for a visualisation on the above:
So who is interested? Would be good to see a decent turnout from CVR4 as in recent years the numbers have been very small. People have no idea what our cars are and what they are capable of so lets give everyone something to talk about!!
Tickets are not yet available but I expect they will be very soon after Christmas, so get that leave/holiday booked and make an appearance, if there are enough of us that register interest early on then we can justify a club area and this will give the VR-4's the exposure that they deserve, there are some stunning motors on this forum so dont keep them to yourselves!
As said I will be attending for definite although I may be in the 350Z (although if the VR4 is back on the road then Ill bring this) but would much prefer to be with you guys than the datsun lot.

WHERE AND WHEN
Sir John Barleycorn Public House at 0715hrs
Right then, for the guys that are coming to Beaulieu next weekend please don't head straight there. If we want to get parked up together, which we do, then we will need to arrive at the same time in convoy. To allow this to happen we are going to meet at a the Sir John Barleycorn public house car park which is just off Jct 1 of the M27. We should aim to arrive there for 0715hrs and be ready to leave at 0745hrs latest. If you are not here by 0745hrs then you will have to play wacky races and try to intercept us on the way in. Aiming for 0715hrs allows plenty of time for any traffic or accidents etc (which there shouldnt be at that time of the morning) it also allows those of us that are driving 3hrs to the meeting point to have a short break and a stretch of the legs. before setting off.
The pub is approx. 30 minutes from the venue so will get us there with plenty of time to spare. If anyone has any dramas with this meeting place then please speak up sooner rather than later so we can plan a quick stop off/detour/driveby to pick you up. I have included a link to Google Maps and a screenshot of the immediate area surrounding the pub below:
