just bought evo 4 project

thought I would tell someone that I have bought a project. needs the engine completely rebuilding so just wondering if I could transplant parts from my legnum engine. or I was thinking if its possible to put my legnum engine into the evo. worst case is parting the evo out for parts for the legnum and selling the rest.

I doubt there is much similarity between engine components and I am unsure of the sense behind putting a heavier engine with less tuning options into an evo.
Why not price up a newer evo engine to get the evo back on the road?

yes its doable. and has been done before. (into a lancer coupe with evo front clip not an acutal evo but its all the same)

I'd want to fill the Evo with sound deadening, however - it would then be more of a cruiser than an out-and-out performance car...

that does look nice. its missing a lot of parts. it was already stripped when I bought the car. needs new pistons, crankshaft, turbo, rocker cover, throttle body, flywheel and so on. so I was just seeing what would be a good option. have been looking at 4g63 engines as out of a gallant. but not 100% if the pistons and block would be the same.

a lot issue with earlier evo 4 engine ie crank walk. should require at least evo 8 bottom end
