    Lazy fuel pump

Recently my Estate V6 takes a long time cranking until starting, I hopefully narrowed it down through personal experience as the fuel pump. First test I did was of course to prime the pump by switching the ignition on and off, did that a few times, and arrived at less crank and quicker start. Any help to confirm this and make me feel a bit moire certain would be great. Spark plugs changed, air filter and fuel filter.

Next question would be... considering a new pump from Mitsy costs 800 pounds, could a Walboro 255lph you guys always seem to put in the VR4's work? Am I correct to say it runs at 80psi?, so I'm not sure how it would affect the fuel lines at that pressure, perhaps my fuel lines in the N/A can not deal with that much pressure.

Also there is the issue of whether it would even fit....

I am presuming the these cars are setup in the same way as a vr4 fuel system and the is a fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail. If the vacuum lines to this regulator are leaking, it will not be getting full vacuum at startup when you are cracking the engine so the fuel pressure might be off due to this. Or it might be just a broken fuel pressure regulator.
The only reason i say this is my vr4 takes ages to start and i know that is due to the fuel pressure regulator.
