Bump!
@foxdie popped round yesterday to give me a hand with some more tuning on the Anglia, pulling around 20psi and wheelspin in 3rd in the dry!
Hopefully that'll help next weekend with my times!

So what's the plan? Arrival time? Are families/kids going?
I'll be aiming to arrive around 9ish, happy to convoy if anyone interested?

Likewise aiming to arrive around 9. Will have family in tow!
Convoying there for 9 depends on if the family are coming. Convincing Vicky to leave early will be tricky, the kids will be impossible!
I'm sure they could all be easily bribed!
The littlen will be with me and as Nick says the early start will only increase the chances of tantrums later on. I will probably aim to get there for about 10am. Im only about 45 mins away so once me and the nipper are both up and she has had something to eat etc etc, we will set off. Depending on the weather/temperature we could again end up leaving slightly before everyone else but this will depend on how many hours straight I can put up with 'Daddy its cold' 'Daddy its raining' 'When are we going?!' comments haha.
Ill be working, so cannot make it, sorry
but if any are heading back this way afterwards, pint somewhere nearish oxford?
I'm awake, will be leaving in around 35 minutes, if all goes well! Anglia is all packed up on the trailer, ready to just be hitched up, just humanfolk to deal with and pack into the Legnum now!
Heh! There is no way my family will be in the car before 8.30! Hopefully we will see you just after 10.
I'm not going to make it, shame as this is the core of the club that helped me the most with my vr4 would have been cool, have a good one
Sorry I can't make it had to work, hopefully it is dry all the time you are there
Have a good day .
5k launch didn't go well... Oh well, new driveshafts in my future!
Ouch hooked up and snapped on the line?
Yep! I was launching at 5k!
Just shows the the engine is making good torque and the clutch is holding.
Plus the slick tyres are holding the road.
There is always going to be a weak point in the link when you start pushing things.
One of life's little test.

Bye for Now!
I've been expecting the driveshafts to let go at some point, I'm surprised that they lasted this long! These ones were cut and welded back together, and the plan was to always get proper ones made up, but when they worked, and allowed me to do 50 runs on slicks at Pod, there was no point in replacing them! Now is obviously their time!
It's reasons like this that I bought the trailer, so I didn't have to worry about going to an event like this, using the car hard, and figuring out how to get it home again!
