Rocker arm fell off

Maybe just a freak of nature. I'm glad the pistons look healthy! Getting the rockers back in place is awkward which is why we wondered if the lash adjusters had been looked at at all. Have you got a big tappety noise? Maybe the lash adjuster is not holding pressure well which is why the rocker could pop out.

I have turned the engine by hand several times to make sure rocker sitting in place properly.
I had no tappet noise at all, maybe because they were replaced at some stage.

Another update. Yesterday put everything back together. Stated the engine with no problems. Looked like it was running even smother then before but may be it is just a placebo effect. After couple of minutes I stopped the engine. Finished with other bits and was going to go for a drive. The engine started again with no problems, but when I switched a/c unit on I heard a/c pump click and straight away metallic rattling from engine bay. It lasted for a second or so. I thought that rocker fell off again and stopped the engine.

Today I have managed to reach the valve with camera through throttle body and checked that all valves go up and down when I turn the crank, so assume that wasn't a rocker, at least not the one that fell off before. Went for a drive today and car feels ok on the road. Hopefully the rocker will stay in place now.

Just thought I would ask what boroscope camera did you buy as the picture quality is fantastic and I think I need one of those in my tool box.
