    Odometer swap between dash's?

I am swapping dash for a spare one I have ( with rear fog light warning in it)
I reckon when I fit new dash the odometer reading will be from the car it came from and not the mileage for my car?.
If this is the case, can I swap the actual odometer part from one dash to the other?.
If not, can I use evo scan to change odo reading??.
Or how would I get the reading changed to my mileage?.
    Any info appreciated, thanks

Odometer readings stored in this chip on speedo unit. Easiest way in your case is transplant speedo unit from old dash into new one.

There is nothing to de solder. You will need to remove the PCB under white cover on the back of the dash. Undo bolts for fuel, temperature and speedo units. Also some small screws under the facial. Bolts have different lengths so make notes, that is important.

    Half way through

It looks like I need to remove the rear (top) circuit board, but their seems to be soldered part!, there is a sort of connector on the board at this area, but wires seem to be soldered also!. (It may just look like that!!).
Also, does the odometer screen come out also, or is it just a screen!,
Again any info appreciated, photos below.

Rear circuit board is not soldered. Just pull it a bit harder up and that will come out. It just a connector with longer pins that holding it.
