    What scanner reads 98 Legnum?!

    Hi all,

Please can someone tell me the correct answer to which scanner will read my car?
    1998 Mitsubish Legnum
It is throwing a SRS Air bag light

I have now tried 2x OBDII scanners and both dont work

Apparently there is a 16pin and a 12pin under the dash

    Thanks

Evoscan and Tactrix 1.3 or 2.0 obd adapter/cable is the only way to go or dash flashy method.

flashy dash is pin 1 and 4 shorted together.

evoscan will monitor lots of things on the car but i don't think it will do SRS air bag stuff.

i think the only scanner that will read the SRS air bag stuff is the mitsi workshop MUTII or MUTIII tool not many people have access to this type of tool apart from mitsi garages.

    Bye for Now!

There's not many scanners that will be able to clear SRS codes, but I know that Mitsubishi MUT-II and MUT-III will, as well as BluePrint G-Scan and Snap-On Solus - the latter two I have personally used on my car to clear airbag light after my clock spring in the steering column failed.

If I remember correctly, you can get the fault codes by the flashy dash procedure, but you need one of these tools to reset it.

When looking for a local garage, ask if they have either of these systems before heading in!

If you're anywhere near Colchester, Essex, MDS Cars can read and reset, tell them I sent you, and ask for Allan!

Ah, looking at your profile now (the location doesn't show in Tapatalk) I see you're in Australia, so you'll definitely be heading nowhere near that garage where my dad works!! (But it may help someone else local in the future!)
