I was going through some pictures of Adam Findlay head work and he has ground off the little nubs.

FYI had the same symptoms as Dave, and similarly when engine was taken apart there was no obvious damage to head gasket, or head/block surfaces. Head bolts seemed on tight. Car was just recently (yesterday) put back together, not ready to tune it for high boost just yet, but I will soon know if the 11mm head stud upgrade, and head gasket job was enough to take care of the coolant system overpressure problem.
The more you know, the faster you can go. And I still don't know enough.
I hope your is fix by this as I only went for the 10mm stud option.
Only time will tell.
