    Solenoid valves

    Hi all.
I'd like to get hold of a set of the solenoid valves which control the TCL. They're mounted on the firewall alongside the canister. If anyone has deleted all that stuff from their car and has those valves laying around unwanted but undamaged I'd appreciate it. I have one faulty one which I've done a patch-up job on but either it or its mate sometimes throws an error so I'd like to get a good set and replace both.
Let me know if anyone has any: all the ones I've seen in wrecked cars have been damaged.
    Let me know.

    Ben @Bender might have some?

I think they are redundant after a manual conversion, so that's a possibility.

They are a common fault so finding them second hand might be tricky.

I might be able to help out I'll have a look at home my bro works at wreckers and I stripped a couple of cars when mine decided to drop the rear diff at 120kms/hr on motorway. I'll keep you posted. Also have all sorts of parts not everything as cars were smashed up. Pretty sure i have them though one i stripped had only done 60000kms. My issues now are those bloody coil packs having hard time locating but may have solution to arcing to earth if my experience in ht repair work is right I'll make up a post as nice cheap fix.

Thanks to both of you! If Matt doesn't have anything I might need to take a trip to Tauranga, unless you could look for me and ask what they'd want for them, Bender?

Matt, on those arcing coilpacks, there used to be a sealant which was used to repair cracks in Line Output transformers in monitors and TV sets. Never used it myself and don't know how effective it was but I assume it was some type of silicone with very high dielectric strength. Probably NLA though as CRT TV sets and monitors are somewhat passé now! (Also Trade-Tech and TESA who would have been the most likely suppliers are both gone now too, not sure if TDON Enterprises is still going, Terry might know of something.)

Hold the bus, folks! Member Kiwigalant has offered me some to test so I'll take him up on that and see how it turns out. Thanks everyone, will report back if he has working ones, if not I'll need to follow up on these options above.
