Feeling a little lost (no car for 5 days!)

So, cars in for cavity wax, under-seal etc and some touch up work... for FIVE DAYS! how do you cope with the loss of a loved one for so long? Its been 3 hours and I've already found a list of things i would do this weekend if only it was here

I will report back on the place I am using, I have a very good first impression and will get before / during / after shots. They also do restorations / welding and painting so might be useful to others on here.

Ive been without both of mine for 2.5yrs now Ive had various cars to fill the void but none have filled it completely. Its been so long that I have actually forgotten what it sounds and feels like

However, the donor car is being picked up in the morning and then the engine swap should be done and the car back on the road within the next month or so. Absolutely cannot wait.

At this point no real changes, got some plans in the future but for now I just want the car back on the road. Obvious overhaul of the cambelt etc while its out will be done. Will then need to sort out the exterior bodywork and get it back to its best. Enjoy her again for a bit before my other plans come to fruition.

I've been without mine for just over a week now. Drove into an old lady's Nissan Note at 10mph on a mini roundabout. Now a Cat N write off and I've been offered £1000 by the insurance company. Gutted.

Car is back and looking fantastic. Will post up before/during/after photos when they arrive.
Work was done by Dave at theretroworks in Tingewick Near Milton Keynes - I would recommend them especially since they now know what the cars are!
Honest guys, took a look and assessed and gave an honest view, talked through what would be done and then some examples of other work. Paint-shop next door is great too.

Good to know as I'm from Milton Keynes (well as near as dammit) lol. So good to know you are happy with their work.
