    Bonnet catch...

Currently stuck in Tescos with a bonnet which won't close, tried prying the catch with a metal bar in various ways, but the cable remains tight. Any suggestions before I risk the drive home?

Yea that's the problem, the catch appears free to move but the lever is stuck in the open position inside the car. No amount of wiggling seems to reset it!

Find the cable on the back of the catch, see if you can move the arm the cable is attached to.

Probably a bit late now but usually it is the bonnet end of the cable and you can lever it closed from that end to release the stuck mechanism.

When you get chance remove the catch and let it soak in Coca Cola overnight (other cola's are available ) will be good as new in the morning!
