    Commuting car?

A friend has just got a job which means an 80 mile round trip to work five days a week. With other mileage to he is going to be looking at 25k miles a year. He currently has an A4 1.8T which is over 10 years old and over 100k miles so is thinking of changing.

He has a budget of 10k and whilst he wants something fun, running costs are more important.

    What would you get?

Personally, I'd stay away from diesels as I can see the tax on them going crazy, and the depreciation will be even worse. Hate to say it, but I'd probably be inclined to look at Ford's ecoboost engines. Either that or a big V8 that has been LPG converted 🤣

The Focus 1.5 ecoboost seems a good bet TBH. Three years old with low mileage is in his budget and seems to have a good combination of performance and consumption. He is not pro diesel and is unconvinced by lpg at the moment.

adaxo has a Mazda 6 sport with LPG conversion.
very nice car to drive in and the LPG make it supper economical.
you can probably get a nice one for less than 5k with LPG convertion.

    Bye for Now!

The Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 are on his radar. But I have spoken to him about LPG and he is quite unconvinced at the moment.
