WTB: HKS mushroom filter or aftermarket induction kit

Hi guys, I'm looking for a HKS mushroom filter and securing bracket setup that'll fit my V6 Sport. Failing that, I'd be interested in any aftermarket induction system that's in good working order. Spent a bit of time on Google and couldn't seem to find anything suitable that hasn't been discontinued. I'm looking to bring out the V6 noise a bit more, and I remember my car made a much nicer noise after I fitted a mushroom filter on a V6 I owned a few years ago. Cheers.

Charlie, I seem to remember using the back half of the airbox as the support on my old V6, as it was easier than fabbing up a new bracket.

I may have a pic somewhere...

Hmmm, it seems it was the front! Have a look at this post in my old FS thread. Hopefully, it helps a little bit.

I hope you realize the HKS mushroom filters are not that good for a not-race-setup.
These perform very badly on most tests. Apexi filters perform a lot better!

I know they are not great performance wise, but I would prefer the better noise they create overall.

I'm fairly certain I've got one of those Blitz filters in the garage, complete with the MAF adapter...

I'll have a check and grab some photos if I do.

No bolts to affix it to the MAF, or support brackets, I'm afraid, but they're easy enough to come by. I'll even have a dig through my nuts & bolts box and if I can find a set of 4 then I'll lob them in too

I'll have a look at the weekend at my dad's to see if I can find anything suitable I can steal/fabricate as a bracket

Sorry forgot to get back to you

Didn't get a chance to delve through my dad's stash of bits & bobs I'm afraid, so still as it was without any bolts or bracket to stop it flopping around. Might have an opportunity to have another look through my stuff at home tomorrow

I am sure I have what you need taken from my old v6 sport. just need to find it all in the garage as I should also have a cold air pipe, snorkle and chrome heat shield. When you mentioned the bracket did you mean a bracket to secure the filter to the engine bay or the MAF adapter to connect the filter?

Brilliant mate! I think it's the bracket to secure it to the engine bay, but I'm not too sure to be honest. Let me know how you get on, I'll definitely buy it off of you if you can find the bits
