    Hi guys

    I really appreciate the support.
We will have to meet up when you get back I will PM my number.
I don't have evo scan yet. I tried to bleed with the car on a car lift in gear and activating the AYC by stopping one side at a time. Until the red light comes on after a minute or so, turn off then start again.
Not to sure if you can do it this way but it did seem to be pumping fluid through

    Thanks
    Steve

You can do it without evoscan or MUT III tool but you have to have all 4 wheels in the air and then put the car in gear and get someone to sit in the driver's seat and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock while you are under the car opening the bleed nipples in turn.
But it is not exactly a safe way of doing it.
As you have to monitor the fluid resovoir in the boot to make sure it does not run dry, otherwise it will need bleeding again.

Not using evo scan no, im using MUT3 genuine dealer level diagnostic, i used to have my own Independent Mitsubishi garage about 4 half years ago before mum became ill and i had to stop. i still have all tools equipment, manuals etc but now im using only for myself & friends.
Thats why i offered plus to find i have mutual friend in my town, its a no brainer!

That is a cool thing to have, MUT III.

Do you have a proper VR4 engine (6a13tt) manual
    or
    complete workshop manual in English.

    That would be very useful.
There are various manuals available on this site. But none are actually correct for the VR4.

I am in the middle of rebuilding a vr4 engine and all the values and specified measurements of the parts are cobbled together from the UK spec galant manual and the 6a12/6a13 n/a engine manual.

Some correct values and specific measurements would be very useful indeed.

I was really luky in getting my hands on MUT3, The dealer was closing and i was loosing my job anyway and asked what was going back to factory and what wasnt.
With all cash i had i bought as much as possible and some i shouldnt..... yes very handy and never let me down yet.

As for VR4 MANUALS not even God himself has a copy, the dealers wasn't supplied with those manuals. When i was working there if we needed VR4 workshop information it was e-mailed to us at dealership direct from factory with some fudged up translations. Was like some closely guarded secret God knows why! Think it was something to do with experiential reasons at MMC bringing in Parallel/ grey imports at that time so they never invested fully. All i managed to get 6a13tt was what is already in circulation.
Ive been looking for someone with this detail for years and never had any luck.
But i have rebuilt these engines from the info available without any consequences.

    Thank for the update.
Shame you don't have the manual.

I contacted colt car company directly and I thought they were really helpful when they said they send me any sectikns of the manual I wanted.
To help me with the rebuild, but after I look through what the sent it was just pages from the 6a12/6a13 engine manual I already had.
After I pointed this out to them it all went quiet. I never heard back from them again. Dispute the numerous emails I sent them.

It is a shame but never mind. It will get rebuilt and hopefully it will not detonate on startup. Lol

    Only time will tell.

Hi guys. Just looking for some info.
I now have evoscan and a vag kkl cable with pin 1 and 4 sorted together.
It reads the engine codes no problem but not the AYC and won't control the actuators for the AYC.
I have checked in the forum and found loads of info but still not sure

    Any ideas greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    Steve

Nothing reads the fault codes properly, you need to do the flashy dash. (With the possible exception of a genuine MUTIII.)

Mut 111 will read and erase all codes, all accuator testing, solenoid force driving, all live data, view steering angle and resetting, see the accumulator pressures, accumulator pressure switch operation and pressure testing, oil level testing. Force drive AYC pump motor and more.
