    I need some help!!!

Can I kindly ask the mods to keep this thread in this section purely to gain as much attention as possible. If its down the bottom in the correct section no-one will see it!

I need some help with my 2001 V6 Galant Estate. Manual. I have a misfire that I just can not find the cause of! I have a lambda sensor fault code (S1B1) that will not clear!

I can pay anyone a decent amount who has extensive knowledge to come and try and help me fix this!

    Things I have replaced,

    Spark plugs,
    Leads,
    Distributor cap,
    Fuel filter,
    Checked vacuum hoses,

That's it so far I think!

The lambda sensors have all been replaced! All the wiring has been checked, the power going to the lambda sensor is correct!
I have changed the ECU and ignition barrel, just to rule that out,

Im really at a loss here I have done a lot of work to this car and I dont want to see it go down the drain!!

    Any help is so welcomed!

Hi. I know nothing about the V6 but as you have a distributor you must have an ignition coil. What about changing that?
    Too much is just enough.

OK thank you! I will buy a second hand one, install it and see if it fixes it! If not then its back to the first post!

You need a timing gun to set a distributor properly

You can do what your suggesting but it only take a mm to be out and it will not run correctly

You only need a timing gun if the V6 has a contact breakr/points for the ignition. I would guess (but I don't know) that the ECU does the timing based on a crank sensor.

These did Mike. The sohc 6A13 has a distributor. The 6A13TT has coil packs with wasted spark. Bless em!

Hence why I want a Chassis Number so I can look at the layout of the sensors, distributor etc
Without a Chassis Number it doesn't nail it to a particular car and shows me all options
