Hello, my Legnum has just failed Lambda test - I was recommended to replace the back box. Any ideas on where to get a new one? Aftermarket OK, so long as it's not too lairy. Many thanks :-)

Whats numbers is it getting?
Remember the CAT generally needs to be very hot on these to get the figures down. Is there actually something wrong with your back box or is that just a guess to try and fix it? I doubt the back box change is going to do anything.

Hello Matt, 1.106, so not miles out. CO 0.02%, HC 9ppm, at fast idle. I'd driven about 5 miles, some at 80mph, to get to the test centre. I'm only going by what the tester suggested to cure the problem. I'll have a closer look for any exhaust leaks at the weekend.
Julian, try your local dealer. I seem to recall that another member recently got one, it was built to order in japan and landed at a reasonable price (like £150 or so?)
Thanks, Jake.
High Lambda with CO and HC at normal levels would indicate an air leak after the sensor. If the backbox isn't rusted out it'll probably just be a joint thats leaking a bit. I'd start by resealing all the joints.
