    New Owner Old Car

    Hi

My wife sent me out to buy a sensible estate ... I ended up with a VR4

It's belonged to another member as it's got the ClubVR4 decals and Tax disc holder, unsure if still an active member

It's back on the road again after being parked up for a while

    Here it is

You'll see it if you in the Cheltenham area , UK

It's been lowered too low imo , this is just not practical for me , it's on lowering springs apparently , does anyone know/recommend somewhere I can get regular springs ?

    Thanks !

It looks familiar-ish! Do you know who the previous owner was? I don't recognise the reg, other than it was quite probably imported by Goodmayes Motors in Purfleet.

Mike at Viamoto will be able to help with new springs, even if they're not listed on the website. He is also on here as @oakleaf

You'd probably be able to sell the lowering springs quite easily. They are quite possibly Tein S.Tech lowering springs and are no longer available from Tein.

Gloucestershire roads are not really ideal for anything low!

    Thanks that's great !

Not sure who owner was, it was in Cirencester for a while (according to old receipts, I bought it from Fairford, from a guy who worked at Performance Autoworks but It's not had a valid mot since 2013 - until now - its a little rough around the edges but it sure gets down the road ok

Hi and welcome. Nev has given some good advice about the springs and as he said, should be easy to sell the lowering springs.

    Welcome to the team!

Tell me about it, I got mine so lowered, I have to dodge every nook and cranny in the road. Actually, roads are fine, cities are terrible. Speedbumps...
I'm incredibly torn about changing it though... the way it drives is close to perfect (Mine doesn't have AYC, so only CLOSE), and I don't want to change something that might change that.
