Drivers tail light, sidelight, dash light dimmer etc.

OK so I've seen a thread about this before but there was no conclusion. So before I hand over to an auto electrician. I have a few questions about the drivers side light circuit.
Does it use the etacs for the dash light dimming and buzzer when doors open and lights are on?
If so, could it be just that part of the etacs at fault. (all other electrics are working fine, as was rear lights until car went in for rear bumper and tailgate fitment a respray.
And what is exactly on that circuit? I'm now thinking the tailgate that got fitted may have faulty wiring and that's causing the problem.
    Cars a 97 Legnum vr4.
    Any advice much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Danny

It could be two fuses that have blown from memory.
If you only replace one fuse it will blow again and again.

But that was many years ago so I could be wrong.

Cheers Dave. I'll check that tomorrow. Thats out of my understanding range but I can check fuses.
Also, thinking back, the donner car never had a headlight light on the dashboard. And there's a wire connecting the left and right taillights together. So more pointing to the tailgate wiring.

Bit the bullet. Took it to the auto electrician. Was the aftermarket fog light switch. Wrongly wired up. Strange how that effected most of the fuse 8 stuff.
    So there you go.
Cheers for the hell though guys.
    Cheers

Thanks for posting the solution. It maybe explains why we were at a loss with suggestions.
    Glad it is sorted.
