IRIDIUM BKR6EIX are weapon of choice for quite a few.
Denso IK22 are an option, IK24 are colder.

Yep, BKR7EIX are a heat range colder.

Avoid the ones with the -11 suffix (i.e. BKR7EIX-11) as these are pregapped to 1.1mm. The non-suffixed ones are pregapped to the correct 0.8mm. And supposedly, you shouldn't regap iridium plugs.

I use BKR7EIX. Some have used BKR8EIX in the past, but I am unconvinced there is a need to go two steps colder.

    Thanks guys,
Now ordered and gone for 1 heat range colder to BKR7EIX.
I've also read going 1 step colder again to a BKR8 can cause fouling up of the electrode unless your killing the engine everywhere as this prevents the ceramic core self cleaning?
This place is a fountain of knowledge.
    Cheers!

Using this to butt in, I'm still on stock sparks, well yeah not the first set, but didn't upgrade to anything different.

Will the BKR7EIX actually make any difference on a close to stock engine, with only a slight remap and a custom exhaust (everything else is cooling and longevity upgrades ) ?

From my research running one plug cooler will.... while on high boost reduce the chances of pre-ignition and knock this will effectively stop or at least reduce the amount of ignition retardation set by the ecu resulting in power power.
There are other advantages of a cooler plug but thsts best benefitl for mine anywhy

Are the ones with the suffix -P the right ones? (BKR7EIX-P). Ive read that on here they're good for 60,000km but elsewhere 100,000km.... thoughts?

I've done some digging, and the -P ones have a platinum ground electrode rather than nickel, and thus a lifespan of 100,000km instead of 60,000. Still the standard gap of 0.8mm.

NGK's stock numbers are 2667 for the BKR7EIX and 2690 for the BKR7EIX-P.

Wow thanks for the quick reply! I'll probably go with the platinum ones then since the manifold can be a bother taking it off and on.

I have to admit, I am inclined to get the -P ones in for the next plug change now! Even if I stick to the original service schedule, I'd rather have something in there that is designed to last longer.
