    N/S/F Driveshaft

After a spectacular failure of the N/S/F driveshaft I'm after a new or used part. If anyone has one spare or is currently breaking a VR4 please get in touch.

Any advice on part sourcing or a part number would be very welcome, I'm struggling to find what I need currently and there's no point calling Mitsubishi without a part number.
If the splines aren't to mashed up? Can driveshafts be serviced?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Olie!

Try this link and website in general for all Mitsubishi OEM part numbers. This link is just for the Drive Shafts front. For all other future enquires go in through the main site and select Car Parts / Mitsubishi / Legnum / EC5W / then your particular model year, right hand drive, auto or manual etc.

Once you have the MR Mitsy part number you can plug this into VIAMOTO for an approxiamte price and or order from VIAMOTO at that price.... Easy

So for a left hand drive shaft

    Mitsubishi OEM Part - MR246173

    £427.74

    or

    Mitsubishi OEM Part - MR246169

    Price: £688.60

Not sure if drive shafts for manual and auto's are different part number you can research that.

You have a break down of the drive shaft there so perhaps you can repair only the bits that a broken.

Do you have any pics of your dead drive shaft I'd be interested to see where it failed.

Also perhaps give Viamoto a ring first to see if there is a long lead time. I know from experience that stuff is going to come from Japan and it'll be a month or so if it's a big part like my bonnet I ordered, could be a few weeks with smaller items but give Mike at Viamoto a ring to what the situation is.

    Send in some pics !

    Kev

Thanks for that Kev, very helpful indeed.

As soon as I get eyes on my driveshaft I'll post up the damage.
