Was it just me who was surprised that it was just a Freelander, and not a full fat Range Rover?

I thought you were talking about Prince Phil!
Although, I suppose you are in the same age bracket
I will explain all later...….but ?
the landy is nothing to do with HRH...…. bought by my son, Daniel [ I never turn right on a plane ] Tew !!
obtained from an MOD procurement sale on the isle of widget.
totally original..... and will be kept that way. the pic is of new boots being fitted to the spec when it left Solihul in 1984...…. [ It's older than Dan !! ]
I suggested servo-ing the brakes / steering...…. but no.... staying as it should be.
on autotrader, there are 18000 landy's for sale..... but only one series 3 LWB, & that has been ruined ! camouflage... stickers... shovels etc YUK !!
Dan's landy will have minor resto to keep it original...… he's estimating around £2K [new boots were £600 ]
Having checked it's history, carefuly….. It has a genuine 27,000 miles on the clock !! And in a slightly bizaar twist.... it was once registered to a keeper in Sheffield, who lived no more than a mile from us at that time !!
£3,200 paid !! bargain or what ?? [ Oh, and just to add...….. whilst he was out shopping, he bought his little sister a Merc E 270...….] bless him !
Low mileage should make it worth a bit more. I've driven one and unless you want to go mud plugging, I really don't get it. It is horrible on the road. Each to their own though!
eggzaktly right Nick...…. very agricultural to drive. but..... fit for purpose for his wants !
He has his 5 series hybrid..... an SLK.... & paul's upcoming C class EV.
it's just a weekend toy! ideal for his location...… the snow capped mountain peaks of southamton seafront !! LOL
