    Boost leak ?

    Evening everyone.

    Right I’m thinking boost leak.

Currently have my manual boost controller screwed right down. Boost gauge is showing around 0.6-0.7 when on full boost and getting fuel cut.

I’ve read somewhere this can happen with a boost leak well I think I’ve read somewhere.

Is there any obvious places to look. I’m going to start to look around my HKS bov.

Can anyone suggest any other places. I’m going to use some gas leak detector from work to help to find the issue.

Whilst I’m at it. Can anyone recommend a place to get hard piping for a legnum.

All the hoses especially at the inlet manifold as the rubber seal inside the plastic elbow can fail

    Hard pipe kit here https://www.rhdjapan.com/cusco-turbo-pipe-ec5w.html

Finding a local garage with a leak test kit might be easiest.

Small hoses around the throttle body, boost and fuel solenoids, wastegate actuators can all lead to a small boost leak.
Obviously all joints on the main intake pipework after the turbos.

Remember that most hard pipe kits double your joints, so more potential leak sites. Also mikalor style clamps can pinch rubber or silicon joiners and create leaks. I'm not saying don't do it, just be aware!

    Good luck!
