    Upper Temperature Limit

Is there an upper temperature limit to the outside temperature at which point the car wont start ? Sometimes after a drive when I park my car in the sun and come back 15-20 minutes later the car wont start. come back another 10-20 minutes later and it starts.

    The battery is new
When it does start there is no sluggish-ness
When it wont start there is nothing at all not even a tick

The outside temperature option we see on the climate control where is the sensor located for this ?

Can someone recommend a temperature chart for the following

Outside Air Ideal/OK to drive/Donot drive
Engine Oil Ideal/OK to drive/Donot drive
Water Temp Ideal/OK to drive/Donot drive
    ATF Ideal/OK to drive/Donot drive

The outside temperature sensor is near the intercooler pipe as it exits the intercooler.

I have never heard of the feature you are implying so I very much doubt it exists. It is far more likely your ignition switch is playing up which is a well known issue. Maybe it is more prevalent in hot weather.

Seconded to Nick. Your ignition switch is very likely at fault. Been there in the past.
Not sure if vr4 has relay fitted between ignition switch and starter motor, it also may be that relay, especially if it's temperature related.
    Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
    Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar

Another possibility - Aftermarket immobiliser. Mine kills cranking totally (I dont have any issues starting, just another thing that can cause no crank)

i would agree with the ignition switch in case if the accessions did not turn off when i move the key to start position but they do. i had a similar issue with a Suzuki swift ended up with a start solenoid issue.

it has never happened abnormally .. only a few time when i have driven the car and not given enough time to cool down before starting again.

part-number for that sensor .. i was thinking of some how rerouting it and placing it in the air intake passage after the turbo .. just to get a feel of how different temps effect the cars feel
