    245 40 18 will it fit?

I have been offered a set of 4 tyres.
    They are 245/40/18.
I don't have 18"wheels so would need to source some.

I have searched and seen that some have had this size before, so I guess they fit (possibly with arch tweaking?).
Question is, what size wheel to use to fit these on a legnum?.

    I am guessing 8J x 18 ET35?

    any input welcome, cheers Louis

These have been run on Evo 10 wheels by a couple of people. I think just guard rolling was required.

235 on an et38 8" wide 17" wheel is very close on the rear arch/sidewall. A car with factory plastic arches has a slightly different arch shape just behind the top point and that means they are much less likely to rub. Note it is the sidewall that rubs, if anything, not the tread. Et35 moves the tyre out 3mm and the 245 makes the tread 5mm wider ech side, but still on an 8" rim means the width is unchanged at the wheel. I would guess that Jeremy is spot on with his memory of what others have done.
