    What TD04's to use?

    Hi all,

My turbos are on the way out.
So looking for an upgrade as we are on it.

My turbo type knowledge is very limited so would like some help.
What TD04's are usually used in the conversion?
What type number do I need, or at least what compressor wheel would be best?

And what car(s) do they come from?

(yes yes, I know about all the modifications needed.)

Several people have used WRX models as they can be bodged onto the stock manifolds. To be honest I have never seen a good straightforward conversion, so take your pick.

    But what about compressor size?
    9g vs 13g?

A few have fitted the TD04 13t, Subaru WRX.
Some have fitted the TD04 ?t from the Mitsy GTO, but I don't think it was a great upgrade for the work involved.
Valmes a russian member fitted two TD05's.
And a few seem to go for the Single Turbo conversion as I may be easier (none will be easy lol!), as you can invert the exhaust manifold to give options on the pipework.
Updating Soon!! 1998 Legnum VR4, fully serviced every 4500 miles. Fully Amsoil'd. Falken 453's, EVO 8 FQ320 rear diff.
