It'll be ready in a couple of weeks...

Is my answer whenever someone asks how long it will be till my car is back on the road
Unfortunately it's possibly not all that true, every step uncovers more rust. Mostly surface, some deeper worm action here and there, working my way thru it all, seems pointless to do all the engine work I'm doing and leave the shell rusty.

Anyway, purpose of thread is a 'whats this' kinda thing, as I've lost the phone I had most of my pics on. Reasonably confident I can recall most things but odd bits will throw me off. So please bear with me and advise if you recognise something.

Will include more pics in time, however that gives you some idea of what I'm upto. Today's question is with regard to the spot welded brackets on lower front crossmember, as follows. What are they for? Bumper hangers? Almost line up with radiator brackets.

They may also support the under tray. there are some PITA swinging metal tabs attached to them on my car that then go to the tray.

It's never had an undertray so it's not an issue
Tabs are off now, work continues..
