    Legnum VR4 main fuse?

Hi ive bought one of these cars and need to find out where the main fuse is as i believe ive blown it.
I bought the car as maybe a fixer upper off a guy that was selling on here a few month back, its not been run for approx 5 years im told.
Anyway i put a new battery on it and it started and run for a few mins, then went to rev it a bit and everything went off. Dash lights the lot!
Went to restart and nothing on the key, so opened bonnet/hood and found smoke coming out of alternator so think its fried along with fuse!
    Battery disconnected to be safe.
What im hoping to do is find and fix fuse and disconect alternator then hope it starts to be able to get in the garage to do further work.
    Its an Auto!

    Any help much appreciated!

@Tigertim - look at the fusebox in the engine bay. There are 2 fuesable links set on a diagonal to all the other fuses. The yellow one is 60 Amp the other 100 Amp. There is also an ignition fuse (14) pink 30 Amp on the right side of the fusebox.

In the cabin there is a pull down cover for the fuses by the drivers right leg at the bottom of the dash. Fuse 11 (10 Amp) does instruments and gauges. Fuse 10 (10 Amp) does ignition.

    Good luck

I've looked at the ones in the engine bay on the right and all look to be fine. Thought there was maybe a hidden on somewhere I had missed. I also had a look on the drivers side above right leg it just drops open to an empty box, unless you mean behind the box. I will look tomorrow, just hope it's an easy fix ie like you say the ignition fuse.
    Thanks
    Tim

If the alt. was smoking it will be one of the big ones in the engine bay, use a meter to measure them as visually they could still look OK. I believe the really big ones are bolted in so they don't just pull out!

Unfortunately not he's also the other half of Viamoto/Spring-Loaded so it's more like another money pit

Well Tim has stripped down the whole rear end and I do mean stripped down
A few pics below in no particular order

    WQRW9219.JPGVXIT0692.JPGVUNY6386.JPGXQKM7209.JPG

New Lower Balljoint Arms ordered, new springs shocks and all the fittings being gathered together
Only a couple of holes in boot floor sorted (one of the pics)
Holes in ends of sills only (one of the pics)
All rust now removed and cured then painting.
Subframe removed being completely refurbed and painted

Tims getting there with the Rear
He reckons he'll have it done in about 2 months, personally I think it will be back on the road by about June !

I look forward to seeing the rear subframe photos post refurb - mines is in a similar state of rust. Was the chassis equally as rusty where the subframe bolts on?

Pic of subframe wire brushed then cure rusted and hammerited (smoothrite I think Tim said)
It's not perfect but it's a darn sight better than it was

Just surface rust where it mounted onto the car no holes apart from what should be there.

The only major hole was this one - same on both sides of the car

Not too hard to sort - not too bad for sitting there 4 years garaged and over 2 years on drive
