These are not specific to the VR4. The newer FWD Galants have the same carriers so you could find a set from a breakers yard or possibly eBay.
'97 Manual Legnum in silver with some subtle mods
My first VR4 - '97 Legnum Dark Green & mean ...it was love at first sight - now sold
Thanks for the replies lads, Ive been offered a full set of brembos front and back with disks and pads for £500, from a Galant Vr4, not sure how much I should be paying, seems a bit high to me but I have little idea, does that sound a decent price? @adaxo, i have no idea how much to offer but Id be up for paying someone to fit them and learning a bit at the same time spannering, is this something you would be up for?
thanks again
Paul
That's not a bad price if they don't need a refurb and the disks and pads are serviceable.
How long can you wait? Hopefully there will be another garage day in the next few months, if the current situation improves, etc. Then there is usually plenty of manpower, tools and knowledge in one place at the same time!

Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
Sorry for the delay in responding, Ive been wrapping up work for Christmas so have been knackered.
Yeah, Im sure I can wait, I change my mind daily on what to buy for the car unless that days wish list is in front of me!
Im trying to get a bonnet from Peter Thompson but he is unable to post it. I bet the VR4 postal service isn't what it used to be?
what do you think of these?

There's still a few of us moving around, albeit not as much (with work only, not socially) - so potentially the Club Courier service could still be of use.
Wow!
It's been a while since I bought my Brembo's but how prices have increased!
The price appears to be at the lower end of what's on eBay just now. You'll want to factor in the cost of a rebuild and repaint on them as well.
If you're happy to hang about for a deal, these look good value and are open for offers so a cheeky £150 might buy them. you'd still need rears but there's also some of those at keen prices available. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MITSUBISH...temCondition=4
EDIT: seller has rears as well - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MITSUBISH...IAAOSwbs9f3m3J also open to offers.
I have no connection to the seller
Also, try to get the front fixing bolts are they are a different length from the standard VR4 bolts. If I remember, the Brembo front bolts are shorter.
You'll have absolutely no idea if the callipers are in good condition so I wouldn't trust my car and my life to them without a rebuild. That maybe me being overcautious though.
Pah! Nothing like pot luck on the brakes!! (that's a pun as well for good measure! )
Just put up a post for the CVR4 courier, though it is relatively unlikely given the bonnet's location.
The galant bolts are too long for the brembo rear callipers, but you can use a couple of nuts as spacers!.
Fronts should bolt to facelift hubs no prob.
Updating Soon!! 1998 Legnum VR4, fully serviced every 4500 miles. Fully Amsoil'd. Falken 453's, EVO 8 FQ320 rear diff.
That'll be what I was thinking of, cheers Louis.
Still after a pair of these, anyone?
cheers
