Your photos aren't great - need to see the top left of the EvoScan window to make sure you've got the right connectivity type selected. It looks like it's trying to load a type of hardware that you've not got.

EvoScan can use a few different ways to connect - the section in the top left hand corner. If you've not selected the correct combination, it won't connect.

If your existing photos had been clearer, and of the whole EvoScan window, I could have already told you if you'd got that wrong!

once you have loaded evoscan you can plug the cable into you laptop and you should get a message saying there is a more up to date driver available to be installed. install it and that is all you should need to do. you don't need to load anything from the disks.

don't click on anything other than the following to bleed the ayc lines.

    plug cable to laptop
    plug cable to car.
use the same setting you have for connection (open port 2.0 and Mitsubishi MUTIII)
select AYC ecu as you have shown in you picture above.
go to bottom right hand corner of evoscan window where the actuators are shown.
    click the pump drive button.
the receive data: event log: connection panel will show the connection to the ECU and the pump will start you will hear it.
you can click the pump drive actuator a couple of times to build up pressure.
then you can use the the Op Check L ( use left bleed nipple to purge the air out of the pipe) or Op Check R (use right right bleed nipple to purge the air out of the pipe).

just make sure you do not run out of AYC fluid in the reservoir in the boot right hand side behind the trim panel. i think you ca do a couple of pump drives activations and a couple of left or right Op Check valve openings before the fluid runs out you have to keep checking.

if you do run out of fluid you will have to start the bleed process again.

It looks like you have not set up evoscan correctly and installed the correct FTDI drivers.

you should be able to click the start data logging button and the the event log: box saying link established goes green.
if you can't do that than you have not setup evoscan correctly.

did you install the FTDI divers after evoscan was installed.
evoscan comes with some crap old drivers that don't work any more. you have to install the new drivers after evoscan is installed.

i am using windows 10 as soon as i plugged the cable in after evoscan was installed it detected the driver were out of date and asked if i wanted to install the latest drivers you have to say yes to this and let windows 10 install them.
if you don't it will not work.

when you plug the cable in you should see a "Vehicle PassThru interface" pop up in you divice manager window near the bottom of the list if you click this it will display the tactrix cable.
if you dont have this then the cable driver is not installed correctly.

    tactrix cablein device anger.JPG

right click the tactrix cable pick properties and check the driver version is the same as mine.

    tactrix driver version.JPG

    to get to device manger
control panel > system > device manager.

it is more difficult to upload picture to this forum than it is to install the driver for the cable.

Sorry for the late reply andy, I have been abroad. I did not buy it. For me as a "normal" guy I think the DIY MUTII cable and evo scan will do the trick perfectly fine. And the auction already expired weeks ago. It was a local Mitsubishi dealer which ran into bankruptcy.

Sorry that I cannot help you

But wow, this thread truly escalated. Very interesting stuff here.

    I think i have a problem,
1 should the 16 pin plug light up when i plug it in ? .it only lights up when i connect to the laptop ,
2 I can hear a clicking behind the dash ,like a rely ,
3 whatever i try there seems to be no power going to the pump . Ive put a direct feed to it and it is buzzing away .
4 , it worked (3 lights on red light on ,then off for a good 2 hour drive yesterday. Today red ayc light came back on straight away ?
5 is there a separate ayc ecu ? The guy i bought the car off didn't tell me everything about the car when i bought it ,

Been round to Adams today . The evoscan programme for the AYC won't work on a FL car for some reason??
    Any ideas why ??

I wonder if something needs 'reversing' or the like? If you replace the pressure switch on the AYC pump, you need to know whether it's PFL or facelift so Malc (@mpbvr4) can supply the correct switch.

Which makes me think - was your replacement pump from a PFL or FL? I wonder if this is potentially the cause of your current issues?

Curious! I've never used Evoscan for it though, only ever the four wheels in the air approach. But checking which pump it was was just my thought process since I recall you didn't get much/any out when you tried the latter.
