It's the one thing that we still need garages for! If you could, that would be amazing!

Bill, I am certain there would be interest - thank you for developing and sharing!

Dave - that is what I wondered. I don't have a cheap cable any more, only the open port 2.0 so I couldn't check if it was possible.

I might buy a knock off openport 2.0 cable just to see if it will will work for the AYC bleed.
i am not sure i would trust it with a ECU reflash.

I have just bought one of these cheap knockoff cables to see if it will work with the AYC bleed process.
i am not sure i would trust it to reflash my ecu but it might work.
i will let you know if does work.

i am prepared to take the risk for the good of the wider community

i will report back when it arrives and see what it can do.

    cable turned up today.
i will test it tomorrow, no reflash connector supplied with it. but do have my own reflash connector so will be able to fully test it at some point.
i will check the AYC actuators and that should confirm if it is a good purchase or not.

I am not sure i am brave enough to try and writing to the ECU but i will try reading the ecu.
this will give me a little confidence to try ecu write at some point, i will have to, to prove if it is a fully functioning cable.

Great news. I'm in the garage tomorrow fitting the pump . If I'm brave enough to try the lock to lock method (or i may just leave it till see if the cable works ) I'll let you know how it goes .

The pump pressurises the accumulator. The green lights show how much effort the AYC thinks it is needed to provide. Doesn't in any way show how much affect it actually has.

You need to have the car in gear, wheels spinning, applying "power" with the throttle, and turn the steering wheel to get the AYC system to open up the solenoid valves to try to apply pressure to the clutch packs - then the air should start to be pushed out.

So it's likely that you did get pressure in the accumulator, but not getting any clamping force within the diff.

Still have to test the cable tomorrow, I did not get round to it today . I got waylaid designing a coil on plug system for the vr4 .
I have the connectors, I know the wiring and I have made some brackets in cardboard to mount the rear coil pack I just need to transfer them to metal and measure the actual cable run lengths so by the end of tomorrow I should have A CoilOn Plug setup on my car and be able to make a plug and play kit for all you guys struggling to find original vr4 coil pack.
I am also working on supplying new coil packs to supply with the kit if required.

    Well that is the plan.
I will test the cable at some point tomorrow.

    I have been busy

Had the car on a ramp . Other half was in the car while i was under it . I heard no pump noise at all , i have been told you need to be aggressive with the steering to get the ayc to activate,
She wasn't to happy being 7ft off the floor driving a car and not going anywhere ,
I'll give it another bleed this week.
    Thanks for the advice

well i have tested the nck off tactrix openport 2.0 cable and it works for ayc actuators. so it will be good to help with your ayc bleed.

sorry for casting doubt on the cable thing i just could not believe it would work.

i have not tested anything else just data logging and ayc actuators.

i have not tested the Read and write of the ecu this is whyi will be keeping this cable or buying another cable to test it.
i would go buy one of these cables just for the actuator functions alone.
you can buy a standalone AYC bleed box box on ebay but it about £150-£200 just for the AYC bleed capability.

if you are desperate to get you car sorted ian.
you can buy from me the nock off cable i bought for the same price i payed, and i can pop it in the post to you.
i can then buy another cable for myself.
the only reason why i make this offer to you is i feel bad for putting you off buying one of these cable in the first place and it will take a couple of weeks for the cable to turn up if you buy from the site you found.

let me know via messaging if you want me to send you the cable.
