    MR497036 Front Bank Manifold

    Morning all,

I appreciate it's a long shot, but does anyone have a spare front bank manifold with integral catalytic converter for a non-turbo V6?

Its still speculative whether I actually need it, but if one is available I'll buy it just in case. Better than paying $741 plus taxes and shipping for one from America..

Has anyone taken one of these off before? I'm wondering how it is fixed to the manifold, whether it is a hidden flange with bolts, or the horizontal bolts as illustrated.

    Many thanks,

    Jamie

I think you'll find its a one piece item so removal will be taking off the manifold.

I'm not familiar with the non turbo cars, can you post up the engine type, is it an EA5W 2500cc 2WD? and what year?

It’s an EA5A Galant saloon 2WD, fitted with the 6A13 2.5 litre SOHC NA V6. It’s the fractionally lower tuned 160hp instead of the earlier 163hp version sometimes seen while entering car details on various auto parts websites.

The paperwork history suggests a registration date circa February 2001, but partsouq reckons it was actually built circa august 2000. DVLA thinks it was registered on 31/08/2001 which would make it a Y reg instead of the X reg it actually is.

    It is a facelift model.
