    Tyre keeps going down

    Hi everybody,

My driver's side rear tyre keeps going flat - no idea why. It's recently had two new rear tyres, I was putting it down to corrosion on the alloy so I had them refurbed and powder coated - as part of the process they acid dip them so there shouldn't be any corrosion.

I'm wondering if it could just be an issue with the tyre that's been put on, maybe the valve....I had them put on matching tyres (nankang superevos or something) but always planned on switching to Bridgestone potenzas.

I guess the question is - do I bite the bullet now and get nissan skyline style alloys and stick the potenzas on or can they fix these kind of things?

    Should give background...
It's on 18" (now white) advanced wheel system alloys with Evo 4 brake conversion underneath
And my preference is to spend as little as possible as it's become a money pit so far!

If there's no corrosion then it's got to be a problem with the valve or a puncture in the tyre itself. If the work was recent then I'd get back to the garage and ask them to look over it.

It's very easy for a tyre place to check. They'll submerge the wheel in water and look for air escaping. 30 seconds to diagnose, simple

Thanks guys - when I take it in for the gearbox flush and oil change I'll have them do the submersion test - hopefully a nice cheap fix!
