Its on the front rocker cover just left of the oil filler cap.
If it fails the car won't start ad you won't have a rev counter.
also there are two types of Kmp to mph convertors one type plugs into the gearbox and the sensor then plugs into it, the other is a small 3cm x 2 cm x 1 cm with two wires that can be under the dash or behind the clocks.

You can bypass the IFS by bridging pins 3 & 4. if the sensor ids faulty this will allow the car to start (as you have bypassed it), but the Tacho still won't work if the ifs is bridged.

they are about £30 quid try ebay or viamoto uk

Is that the connector on the front right corner standing at the front?

its circled in this photo below. I i think it actually has IFS written on it lol!

I linked the two pins with a fuse.
If it stops working then the car will still start but the re counter will not, so you know something has happened and can then check etc, I have a 5 amp fuse in line between pins 3 & 4.

Called RAC out to have a look, it's a fuelling issue, most probably the pump as the car has been sat for nearly five years. So any recommendations for a new pump

Thank you, link doesn't work though. Is it a specific kit for our cars or a generic kit?

I think this is the full link - when you copy/paste from the displayed text on another post it skips out part of the middle of the link...

Update, fitted Walbro pump, car fired up revved, and then same again. The thing I noticed when I took the pump out was the plastic container it sits in had no fuel in it, guage is reading between half and above quarter.

Am I right in thinking the tank is split in two running over the propshaft. I'm going to get some fuel to try it, if that doesn't work I'll save a litre to make a petrol bomb(only joking)

She's ALIVE. Pump changed, filter changed, magnecor leads fitted, nothing. Add 5 litres of fuel and whoosh, springs into life, I know there was fuel in her so it's not being fed from the passenger side, so for now will have to keep her full. Thank you to all that gave me help, now off for a drive sort the speedo out, the original fault lol

There was a post somewhere else about the siphon lift from passenger side, an additional hose i think? maybe worth checking if the siphon hose is present?
