    Forged Conrods - Group Buy

I'm opening thread regarding GB of forged conrods for 6A13TT engines.

    Subject of purchase:
Hi-Performance H-Beam PRISM connecting rods. Now You can built extreme powerful engine and produce more HP without worry about damage it. All PRISM rods are produced from one-piece forging, Cr-Ni-Mo 4340 alloy, and have special 3D design, so they are stronger and lighter than stock connecting rods.
All PRISM 4340 connection rods feature...
    • One-piece forging, 4340 AISI/SAE alloy, vacuum degassed to remove impurities
    • Full CNC machined surface
    • 3D design offers reduced weight and maximum strength to weight ratio
    • Heat-treated to Rockwell C38-45
    • All forgings are X-rayed to insure quality.
    • Fully shot peened to stress relieve the metal.
    • Packaged in weight matched sets end to end +/- 1 gram.
    • Balanced end to end
    • Supplied with bronze wrist pin bushings for floating piston pins.
    • Ready for installation 3/8” or 7/16” rod bolts (see Your application)
    • For applications +7000rpm we recommended ARP2000 bolts or better
    • Visual inspection ensures that every our rod is defect free
    Dimensions of ordered rods:
    190 = 19.0 mm (pin dia.)
540 = 54.0 mm (big end bore dia)
1384 = 138.4 mm (center to center length)
    pin width = 20 mm
big end bore width = 20 mm

    p1000214.jpgP1000211.jpgDSCN4704.jpgPRISM-korbowod.jpgPRISM-odkuwka.jpgp1000220.jpg

Price: 500 GBP a set, excluding shipping. Additional surcharge for shipping within UK and outside UK depends on location.

We have to place order before 10th August hence all ordered sets can be brought to UK for no extra cost personally by me.
We need minimum order of 5 sets.

    Additional information:
    1. ARP bolts can be purchased from following eBay sites:
    - ARP L19 bolts for 179 USD per set of 12: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3604681145...84.m1423.l2649
    - ARP2000 bolts for 130 USD per set of 12: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3604688721...84.m1423.l2649
    2. Conrods rev range is in theory up to 9000rpm if properly mounted. This is determined by several factors, i.e. right bolts used, weight and size pistons, pins diameter, proper engine tune. Anyway, got answer that this conrods should last up to 9k rpm.

Further info can be found in this thread:

I just noticed that the bolts linked to on ebay are different dimensions. Is that right?

Been told that ARP L19 also will do the job and they are much stronger (actually the strongest on the market), so difference in dimensions (length) is in tolerance. But maybe I'm wrong.

    List added and updated.

Yeah, I'd heard the same about L19. That's cool, I just wanted to make sure.

Are these rods a direct replacement that have a higher tollerance for greater hp gains?
Is there any preferance for the choice of bolts?
Sorry for all the questions. I could be interested, but thought I better make sure I know exactly what I was gonna be buying before I got too involved.
I assume I'd also need to go down the route of replacement pistons aswell before I sought emmense hp gains on some turbo power.

Kenneth, I'm back to UK on 14th September, so that's a date when I'll start to dispatch them.

Are these designed to fit standard pistons?

If should make the standard engine good for about 500bhp.

What do you think you could achieve with forged pistons as well (and the other supporting mods).

I think so Rich. Once we ordered trial batch we hadn't got any uprated forged pistons and it was based on stock pistons.
Anyway, it should be direct replacement.
