    surface discharge

anybody had any experence with surface discharge plugs on a road car , i've just got a set for my v6 , retail cost for the public version is £50 each , but because i have freinds in high places i have now i my possesion a set out of a works honda (sorry for the swearing) touring car ,total cost to me £0.00 , they have only done one 20 min race and are as good as new , they are the full race version and as such are not listed on the NGK website but working out the codeing they are a colder running plug , i can't imagine this will cause any problems with these lean burn engines but if anyone knows different let me know soon before i bolt them in

Would these plugs be suited to a turbocharged application?

i would say they would be ok , if they can cope with a fully tuned honda touring car engine then the mild tune of a vr4 engine shouldn't be a problem . and i refer to my earlier answer of don't hold your breath

right i've been to my supplier today to get some more plugs , well the bad news is that they didn't have any , the good news is they had one set of iridium tipped DTM spec plugs , these will be given to the first person at japshow that polishs my car . if i get any more sets then it won't hurt for 2 people to polish her

NGK 10 , i don't think there was anything else , i would go and look at one but as they are burried deep inside the cylinder head its a bit difficult at the mo, as soon as i get a chance i will find out if there is anything else on the steel portion
