come on be fair ... a front wheel drive 220 bhp octavia (potentially 250 by sunday) is nothing to be smirked at ... well against my lowly gls anyways.

but then again front wd means that he wont be able to put all the power down quickly, prone to wheel spin, tourqe over steer and burning rubber ... but then i might be talking our of my backside cos i know nothing about cars lol.

LOL leave the Octy Vrs alone i nearly bought one. for what they are, they are quite good standrad 1.8 20v turbo producing 180bhp

and very easilt modded to much more power

DRIFTING is pushin a car against its intended design, then playing with the LAWS OF PHYSICS

The Octavia is a good car. They're well built and generaly reliable, and the dealers aren't the arrogant so-and-sos like you get at a VW/Audi place (with due apologies and political immunity to Pete there!! ) Okay, it's no VR-4, but I think the amusement factor of blasting people with a Skoda is as much fun as it is with an 'Old Man' car!

WARNING - CVR4 sounding like MLR

It sounds like a skoda bashing session

Come on guys... be fair... we all have passion for our cars... He likes his skoda, we like our VR4's...

Let's learn to get along... The skoda's have an audi TT/Seat Leon engine in them, they can't be that bad....

Most cars have an advantage somewhere over another. The Skoda wins on running costs, for sure. I am pleased to say I can't see any other ways in which it is better though!

It may be the 1st and last chance i get because he's selling it (hopefully)

However it is a 2.5 v6 so it's pretty fast. just a shame about the name
