Thumbs up Paid Up Member at last.

After months of indecision - should I sell or not? Should I try something new?
The conclusion is that there is nothing out there that appeals like the VR4. BHP/£ or otherwise.

In the last few months I have tried numerous so called substitues. including
EVO VIII, Golf R32, Mazda RX8, Lexus IS300, nothing comes near for overall
performance and driver appeal. Even my old V6-24 was better than some of these.

    Long live the Galant

It's a shame that it took you so long to realise how cr@p all other cars are. But I'm glad you got there in the end!!

You think and almost convince yourself that something rivals the VR-4. Then you realise.... Well, as a total package for the price - Nothing does!

    EVO VIII & RX8

I must say both nice cars in their own right. I used to own a series 1 RX7 with a standard 12A. Quite a quick car for such a low capacity engine, although it helps when they rev to 8000rpm.

I think if I had the choice between the VR4 and the above the VR4 would be down the road I'm afraid. But there again as I've said before, the VR4 isn't really that unique in NZ, the bloody things are everywhere!

How did the RX8 drive? Topgear were pretty impressed on their track.

By the way has anyone seen this:

EVO VIII - B***dy quick, Very harsh ride, basic interior.
RX8 - Lovely car, engine turbine smooth, brilliant handling.
Both a bit common around these parts.
Neither has the space, sound or sheer grunt of a V6 or the WTF is that ?? Factor.
