gotta love that look, and you've gotta love trademe, you've done damm well on the budget, saved what 300 odd bucks..

How much does it affect the ground clearance? - i guess thats what happened to it in the first place. A mate of mine got sick of destroying his stuff, so he got a block of wood and bolted it under the car back a bit, just lower than the bumper, so that the wood will hit first, and give him a bit of warning before crunching the fiberglass - really cheap fix, just don't bolt it on too tight.. cause it collects other stuff as well,,.. you might want to give it a go..

That looks very good, does it go down further than the side skirts?

not much, at a guess about 1.5cm lower than the skirts, but its much wider than the factory skirts,

ground clearance is not much worse than before... but it sticks out much futher that the front.

so im saving for the matching skirts aswell.. just to complete the look.

well in the weekend i got some mesh and added it to the bumper..

also found some spotlights. at pick-a-part..
they are of a 1990 diamante.. small + round and almost the perfect angle to sit be hind the mesh.. and only cost me $16 (nz) another bargin!!

i designed a custom bracket to mount them and had my dad make them up at work for me (hes and engineer / machinist)

pulled of the bumper and fitted them, and changed the spot plug to the one originally on the diamante as the stock legnum ones arnt the same.

now i only need to have it painted to the factory mitsi green (whats the given name of this green??)

    heres the outcome.

Thats a great idea hiding the spots behind the mesh, the whole lots looking very professional, and i always enjoy seeing a bit of ingenuity.

The foglights behind the grill look amazing. Have you considered 4 foglights, mounting them beside each other? That would look quite unique.

    i did think about it...
but then i could run into warrent issues..
im glad i found some factory mitsi spots.. and i was able to wire it to the exsisting loom..
looks like it was always there.. no issues that way,

and im planning on taking cold air up from the space next to the fog light,
    so it wouldnt fit aswell,

but plans and ideas are always evolving... so who knows?

Cold air from down there would be a good idea, going straight up into your cone filter.
