yeah cool dude.
i will be at the New Market PitStop at 8 in the morning.
8??? hahaha, see you at 9
Engine Check Light came on this morning
****.
The stupid fans aren't coming on.
The car is getting REALLY hot but the temp gauge isn't moving from the normal place
So the temp gauge must measure the temp from a different place. The fans work fine as they come on before the car starts.
piece of junk.
Temp gauge measures water temp I think. which means you either don't have water flowing, or your engine internal temp is actually ok.Originally Posted by AllBeItMine
I am having the same issue with my galant, though for different reasons I suspect.
The test is to let the car idle and see if the fans come on after reaching running temp, or if the water boils over into the expansion bottle first. Obviously if it boils, turn the car off.
you have a lot of stuff wrapped with heat wrap? I wonder how this affects the temperature of the block...
hey dude - what happened today?Originally Posted by bradc
i got my powersteering sorted. custom fabricated a bracket to hold the tensioner.

any chance i could grab my tools and that pulley off you tommorrow?
Dropped off what I thought you wanted to Lance in the morning at about 9am, did you get that from him and was it the wrong one?
I gave him the tools as well

saw lance last night. pretty sure you dropped off the wrong one.
its the alternator tensioner pulley i was after - not anything to do with the cam belt.
what are the chances i could get that off you early next week?
you mean the one that swings about to change the tension on the pulley? I thought there was only one of them, and that was the one on the cambelt
