    Question for Auto owners

When in tiptronic in 3rd gear at about 2000rpm, putting ur foot down does the rpms climb at steady pace and smoothly around to redline? Same also applies to 4th and 5th gears, the issue i have doesn't seem to affect 1st and 2nd gears.

If I do that the torque converter kicks in and the revs jump up a bit, probably to 3000rpm or so, then the revs stay steady until the speed at which the car would normally hit 3000rpm, then the revs climb steadily.

I bet your one doesn't do it anymore

Of course I might be out by 500rpm, but the overall concept is the same. It is much more noticable in the higher gears of course. If you say floor it off the line in first gear, the revs do jump up, but before you know it, you're already at 6000rpm and need to change gear.

I wish there was a way to lock the torque converter, I find that when I'm driving at 80kmh-110kmh sometimes I press the throttle down and I don't want it to jump up to 3000rpm, I'd prefer it to stay at whatever it should be.

Just seeing what happens to other peoples cars, i have a few error codes popping up just wanted to see if its affecting the performance of my car. If i floor the car in 3rd gear at about 2000rpm the revs will climb to 3000 rpm then u would see the rpms slow a little then the revs would climb hard again, 4th and 5th are the same but the rpms climb slower (rpms feel flat) just more noticeable.
