I have created a flexane front engine mount and had it in my Legnum. It even survived the crash

it is way harder than the standard rubber, but still allows some flex. I noticed more vibration through to the cabin, but it wasn't harsh... more like a more positive feel of what RPM the car was doing.

Which mounting was it, and what benefit did it offer?

    It was the front mount.

Hard to describe the benefits as its mainly just the way the car feels. There is deffinatly less movement in the engine, there is a much more positive feel for engine RPM and It just felt more solid.
