    8G VR-4 Standard wheel sizes

Because its always a pain in the backside to find the correct info, here it is in whatever colours.

    Pre-facelift: 16"x6" Offset 46mm
    Facelift: 16"x6.5" Offset 38mm

This means that the facelift wheels actually have 2mm extra clearance on the inside and stick out an extra 14mm. No wonder they look better on the car

These were read off the wheels last night. Found that the wheels are also branded enkei. (both sets)

Weren't both of them Enkei? I think I remember seeing Enkei on the prefacelifts.

Just thought I'd update this post with the stock EVO mags:

EVO 6 17x7.5" Offset 38mm Weight 9.5kg Made by OZ
EVO 7 17"x8" Offset 38mm Weight 10.1kg Made by Enkei
EVO 8 17"x8" Offset 38mm Weight 9.3kg Made by Enkei
EVO 9 17"x8" Offset 38mm Weight 9.1kg Made by Enkei

    Useful link http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

On my car I found that the EVO 7 mags with 235/45/17 tyres clear the inner suspension arm by about 5mm, so you wouldn't want to go with a much lower offset than 38mm for 17x8" mags

updated my post with the EVO wheels, can someone make this a sticky, it seems as if we can't go a week without someone asking offset questions.

Newer version from end of 1998. Can a mod please move these two posts into their own thread?
